Globeleq Renewable Energy Scholarship Application
The Renewable Energy Scholarship Fund (RESF) was founded in 2014 and is being managed by Globeleq that owns three renewable energy facilities in South Africa. These energy facilities include the Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm, Droogfontein Solar Power and De Aar Solar Power, who also finance RESF funds. The three energy facilities produce power independently and are the first large-scale renewable power plants built in South Africa.
The Fund helps mechatronic, electrical and electro-mechanical engineering students to finish their education, in order to work for the renewable energy and other engineering sectors. This is in line with RESF’s aims to address the demand in the renewable energy industry for qualified engineers, create a continuous flow of skills that are necessary for the company as well as contribute to the energy industry and the country.
